Team additions are free up until August 13, 2013. Thereafter, any additions or substitutions will cost $10 per person.

Start times for all teams are based upon the minutes per mile times submitted for each team's members on their individual entry form. No starting time requests will be accepted.

Mixed Category Guidelines are as follows:

Start times will be posted on the RTB Relay web site as they become available and will also be posted at sign-in on Friday night September 13, or Saturday morning of the event.
  • Teams that run with 12 members are to have a minimum of 6 women.
  • Teams that run with 10-11 members are to have a minimum of 5 women.
  • Teams that run with 8-9 members are to have a minimum of 4 women.
  • Teams that run with 7 members are to have a minimum of 3 women.
  • Teams with less than the required number of women for mixed categories will become men's categories.
  • Any team made up of 1-5 men and the rest women will be classified within the mixed categories.
  • Ultra team guidelines are the same; just divide by 2.

'Half Team' category guidelines:

Guidelines for running the race:
  • Start times will be based on an average of the two half team's paces.
  • Each 'half team' should have their own vehicle
  • Standard team category (men's open, mixed masters, etc.) will be assigned when your start times are posted based on the combined make-up of the 2 'half teams'.
  • Both 'half teams' will receive the same finish time in the results
  • Each 'half team' is responsible for completing 6 legs unless both captains agree on a different scenario. So if 'half team' A has 5 runners and 'half team' B has 6 runners, 'half team' A would need to run the 6 legs by having one runner repeat a leg unless team B agreed to pick up at leg 6.
Logistics:
  • Each 'half team' will be responsible to complete the registration and payment to confirm their entry into the event. Once payment has been received, 'half teams' will be eligible to be matched with another paid 'half team'. Matches will be made 1 month prior to the event.
  • Teams will remain in RTB database as separate teams so that each captain can use their log-in to manage their 'half team' information.
  • Date of contact: each 'half team' captain will be contacted with their match info one (1) month prior to the start of the event.
  • The 'half team' captains will be responsible for communication and coordination after introduced by RTB one (1) month prior to the start of the event.
  • Team photo's: Each team of 6 can get their own individual team photo or one of the complete team. Please inform the photographer at the team photo step of registration so he can record the appropriate team.
Refunds:
  • If we are unable to match you with a half team or your 'match' does not show or drops out after the refund deadline, the 'half team' that was paired with the 'drop out/no show team' will receive the entire entry fee refunded within 4 weeks after the event.

Freestyle category guidelines:

Rule #1 ... There are NO rules ! (Well almost.... there are rules, just less of them )
  • With "RTB Freestyle !" there are NO team gender ratios.
    • "RTB Freestyle!" removes the gender ratio rules; any number of male / female teammates can make up your team of twelve.
  • With "RTB Freestyle !" there are NO team age rules.
    • "RTB Freestyle!" does not have Masters, Super Masters or Grand Master age requirements.
  • With "RTB Freestyle !" there are NO leg rotation rules.
    • "Ad-hoc" running rotations may be created in real time during the event !. A runner may run any number of legs. One teammate may run 4 miles the other teammate may run 24, the choices are completely open.
  • With "RTB Freestyle !" there are NO PRIZES.
    • We said it was non-competitive; just a bunch of good friends out to run 200 miles and experience one of the countries premier distance running relay's.

I'm interested!
